Our 3 star hotel in Roccaraso, on the Cinquemiglia upland, is into the Majella National Park.
Maybe it is from the Roman era but some findings shows that a core of the village can be dated back to the V and IV century BC, while someone, like Tito Livio, talks about Roccaraso yet with reference to the passage of Annibale, during his battles against Rome.
A few are the proofs about the history of Roccaraso, at least until the Second World War, when the village has been destroyed and built again thanks to the passion and willing of its inhabitants.
Today Roccaraso is one of the most known and attended ski resorts of the whole Region, thanks to its ski slopes and hotels.
Here it is possible to enjoy all the seasons: in winter one can practice winter sports (ski, snowboard, snowshoe) while in fall and spring magnificent colours give life to amazing sceneries.
